Our Epsilios solution was featured in the latest issue of Essais Simulations & Mesures magazine (n°159 - December 2024 / January-February 2025). The article highlights the innovation provided by Epsilios, in particular its association with a Stäubli robot to create a universal test bench.
A universal testing solution
Developed by Cémios, Epsilios is a configurable software package for control, test and measurement equipment. Combined with Epsilink or Epsilios NI RT real-time controllers, it enables dynamic servo-control of physical quantities such as force, displacement, torque, angle, pressure, flow and temperature, at a rate of up to 200 µs. Thanks to its intuitive, comprehensive interface, Epsilios can be adapted to all new machines, as well as to the retrofitting of existing equipment.
Cémios also innovates by coupling Epsilios to a Staubli robot, creating a universal testing solution. Responding to characterization and endurance needs, this test bench enables sensors to be rapidly interfaced with the robot, thus reducing the time and cost required to design specific tooling.

By combining Epsilios and the robot, it becomes possible to control complex physical quantities on three-dimensional curvilinear trajectories. The system transforms a production robot into a real test bench, thanks to its measurement acquisition functions, clocked control and multi-axis sequencer.
